PANDA lets you explore

There are 1000’s of options for every client brief, so how do you know that the concepts you select to develop are the best ones? PANDA lets you explore all the options so your team can make fast and informed decisions.

Generate

Know your options, halve your carbon

Refine

PANDA generates all of the possible designs, and checks them against the Eurocodes. Feasible solutions are plotted on the display graph.

Filter the solutions by carbon, cost, mass, foundation type, systems, or number of storeys. Leaving a small number of low carbon options which meet your design brief.

Change the plot colours to investigate the effect of different decisions. View the building breakdown pie charts to interrogate the cost and carbon for each solution.

Download engineering reports, summary reports and export chosen design into your preferred structural design software.

Key functionality

Full foundation design

PANDA undertakes full foundation design to be EuroCode compliant. It can use assumed soil properties, the results of a detailed geotechnical survey or you can input a pile capacity table.

Different foundation designs can be displayed on the graph for comparison, or eliminated using the fitter menu options.

Detailed engineering design calculations

PANDA does not use a database of benchmark buildings or rely on a human generated design, it designs code compliant schemes from scratch. This means it is able to identify low emission design solutions which would otherwise have been overlooked.

PANDA is not a black box, each design detail can be reviewed by exporting the 'engineering report' these reports are available for every bay, of every floor, of every design option.

Discover the lowest carbon options

PANDA uses LCA data to rank solutions and evaluate which design options have lower emissions.

Our LCA data is taken from the ICE v3 database, and applies the IStructE methodology. It uses average values as these are most useful for comparing options in early design stages. The cost model has been developed with Gardiner & Theobald, and reflect current pricing in the South of England.

All data is visible to the user and can be customised or you can input text files with your own specific LCA and cost data.

Connect to your workflow

PANDA produces detailed engineering data for 1000's possible scheme options. The preferred designs can be saved and exported as raw data, carbon breakdown charts or as summary reports.
